  • Sand dune: large area of sand dunes piled up against the mountains. Fun to climb to the top. Have desert-adapted plants.

Burdah rock bridge: This is a stupendous, timeless place, virtually untouched by humanity and its destructive forces. Here, it is the weather and winds that have carved the imposing, towering skyscrapers, so elegantly described by T.E. Lawrence as “vast, echoing and God-like.."A maze of monolithic rocks capes rise up from the desert floor to heights of 1,750m creating a natural challenge for serious mountaineers. Hikers can enjoy the tranquility of the boundless empty spaces and explore the canyons and water holes to discover 4000-year-old rock drawings and the many other spectacular treasures this vast wilderness holds in store.

After breakfast we will take you by jeep to Jebel Burdah about 20 minute.

139This mountain is denoted by the number 5 on the Wadi Rum map found on the website. Climbing up to the bridge and back down will take approximately two and half hours. This is very safe climb which is not difficult but in several places you need to use your hands, but the most difficult areas occurs just as you arrive at the bridge, but for safety reasons we bring rope to make inexperienced climbers feel safer.

It is important that that you follow behind the guide and listen to his advice, any deviation on this route should only be done after consultation with the tour guide. From the top of this mountain you will be able to see the immense landscape that surrounds you looking far into the north east corners of the Rum desert. And at 4 pm back to rum village.
